Ehsan made a lot of good points. I think a relevant difference here is that :pdol has indicated that product will look at the votes on enhancement bugs to inform their view of how important a feature is. There is then the problem that the bugs that aren't enhancement bugs potentially still show votes even though they won't necessarily be investigated/prioritized on the basis of those votes. But the upside there is that non-enhancement bugs should be easier to resolve or close.
