Devs get excited when their app can break out of the chrome and integrate into a users system. On this note, apps don't have any way to customise what goes on the lockscreen do they. I'm thinking music apps displaying album art, player controls etc. We should do everything we can to allow apps to do cool things outside of their chrome sandbox :) > Expanding notifications is also a neat feature: A notification with a long > text will surely get its end truncated, but a little tap and swipe down on > the notification will expand it to show the full text/content. > > RE: Task manager > A "Close All" button would be very appreciated IMO, Orange did implement > that in the Klif device with FFOS 2.0. > > One last thing, not sure if this would really belong to app chrome or not > but it seems to me like something the system would/should handle: App > badges, getting a counter on how many notifications (emails, SMSes, calls) > on an app icon is also IMO a nice feature to have, I know "there's an addon > for that!" but wouldn't be awesome to have such a thing out of the box? > Especially as we aim to more customizations and flexibility in FFOS. > > Thanks! > Ahmed > > ------------------------------ > Date: Tue, 24 Nov 2015 09:58:07 -0800 > Subject: system front-end feedback > From: [email protected] > To: [email protected] > > > As we get started on 2.6, it would be good to hear more about how the UI > facilities the system app provides are meeting requirements.
