> Is there any possible use for such a device? YEAH!!! Strip down the system app to a blank HTML page and let it be a canvas for your imagination, like JanOS - http://janos.io/.
Make a nice box for it, hook it up to Flickr and turn it into a cheap connected photo frame for your family. You could make a simple home security system by putting it on the wall by the door of your house and using the media recording API to detect sound, and send recordings of those interactions to a server. Make a digital theremin app and then plug it in somewhere public and film how people react as they get closer and further away from it. Haha do the same thing but use recorded sound so that they people hear themselves played back... Keep it your car as a music player, or use the text-to-speech API to have it read news to you. Get a bunch of them together and make a big digital puzzle that reacts to touch and sound... or turns into a video when the puzzle is complete.
