Hi,
I just want to share an idea about connected devices and fxos.

- You have a rpi (or other device) with a vpn server configured.
- A service that cast your IP to your FxAccount.
- From your fxos phone, firefox for android, firefox for ios, or firefox
desktop with a FxAccount logged you can route your browsing through you home
vpn server.

There is the bug: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1033580, that is
for openvpn support on firefox.

Possibilities:

- Your are in a public wifi and you want to access to your bank account. There
is icon in you browser that protects your connection, routing it with your vpn
server.

- Your are in public computer. Open firefox log into fxaccount and browse
safely with private browsing + vpn with your vpn.

To the people that does not know about technical details the concept it's that
your are connecting to you small box in your house and it's safer.

It differentiates from other browsers and associates safe browsing with mozilla.

It's possible to do it?

There are several tutorials to configure vpn server in a rpi.
To access your rpi you need a ddns service.

I have a synology nas an it has something nice. When you register your box they
offer a ddns service for free, so you get a http://"myusername".synology.me/.

I think that FxAccount could offer the same, and because it's a vpn you are not
forced to use firefox to connect to your vpn server, you can use other clients.

Thanks for listening!
