The goal is to invite current Firefox OS users to join the transition project, to take part of the future of Firefox OS on smartphones. It's especially important during this transition phase, as Mozilla is helping us, for instance the transfer of knowledge is easier right now. Also it can be useful to spread the news on "techy" forums and sites, where people can be interested to get involved - like web developers forums, but it's not the core goal for the moment.
