As long as you are using tables for tabular data i do no see any problems with that, one exception i would make is the basket. In the most basic layouts it's a quite simple table but for more complex layouts it's a hell of a job with tables. So I wouldn't say *every* tabular data has to be in a table, it always depends on the situation. Forms are clearly a no go for tables.
