hi there and hello,
this my first post here ;) i am currently working with an EE v4.4 and
got extrem performance problems
with a shop, that has more than 10k categories inside. as i already
explained in my blog (http://bit.ly/fk3KoN)
the OXID admin area becomes unuseable with such many categories inside.
the only way to work is to
disable the category-options at the performance settings. at the
frontend - of course - we want to show
the category tree and this is a real problem. working with articles is
not possible if you have so many categories
and sub-categories - because oxid creates the full tree inside to show
it at drop-downs and other places....
from an EE-version i expact more performance than waiting 90seconds
loading an article or the article-list ;-(((
does anybode here has a solution for me, working with good performance
at the admin-area, without
disabling the performance-options for categories ???
i think it´s not a exceptional case having so much categories, so i am
wondering how other big shops
are handling this issue. of course we are working with the SOAP API in
this case, but a manual view
of articles and categories should be possible without waiting minutes to
see something ;)
