Hi Arvydas,
thank you for your reply!
As you might have seen, we developed a mobile template, based
on jQuery
mobile.
(
http://www.marmalade.de/shop/Templates/OXID-eShop-mobile-Template.html)
jQuery mobile uses some fancy AJAX stuff to make the page look
like an
app (sliding to new pages, etc.). To detect if the page is
already
loaded, it checks target and actual url. So for example after
adding a
product to the basket you wan't be able to switch back to the
start
page, as the link looks the same.
For that we changed those functions with a small module and
everything
is ok. I just wanted to ask, if there are any special things
we might
keep in mind.
Best Joscha
Hello,
As you already found out all standard shop forms uses [{$oViewConf->getSelfActionLink()}] or [{ $oViewConf->getSslSelfLink() }]. It's our long time standard and it does not interfere nor with web browsers, nor with search engines, which normally does not post forms. Maybe things are different now? And can you tell me the reason why here you need SEO or why we should implement it here? Maybe you have some specific case, which could be simply solved by other solution?
Regards,
Arvydas

Subject: Re: [oxid-dev-general] why getSelfActionLink()
Well, right. But this could easy be implemented and is no argument for
loosing the SEO-Urls here. Right?
Agree! Are there any other reasons for using $oViewConf->getSelfActionLink?
with kind regards
Marc

Hi Joscha,
doesn' t $oViewConf->getSelfActionLink() return an https url when
activated? I'm not shure wether it's useful to return an ssl product
link when you're not in the checkout, but i'm shure somebody who is
curius about ssl protected shopping loves this feature.

Hi all,
during the latest work on our mobile template, we stumbled upon the
action-link for the tobasket function / form.
Why does OXID use [{$oViewConf->getSelfActionLink()} instead of
[{$oDetailsProduct->getLink()}] on the detailspage.
Did we miss something? It seems like it works perfect in our test
environement.
