Hi everyone, for a customer of ours, we want to realize an Oxid EE v5.0 based shop. The shop should be available in different languages of which two should be available using the domain example.com (just an example) and the third one under the domain example.fr. Pretty much everything else should not depend on the domain used by the customer (same articles, same categories, prices, customer accounts, etc.).
As far as my knowledge of the Oxid EE configurability goes I would have to configure a parent- and a subshop and assign the different domains to each of them. To simplify the setup I would prefer to just define two domains for only one Shop. The domain should stay the same when the customer navigates through the shop. I was wondering if anybody on this list has ever done something like this before and would share their experience. The shop's caching mechanism would definitely have to be changed as Oxid stores full URLs in the cached views. Any help would be much appreciated!! Thank you! Best regards Dipl.-Ing.
