Hello, before going live with you shop, you should disable the productive mode setting, it willl disable most caches. But disabling cache in a live shop will make it a lot slower. Nut sure, if there are some special settings in EE or PE for cache lifetime, but i would not disable cache for cms pages. Clearing it manually is still the best option.
