navigation/position estimation in subways using MLS
I'm unsure though whether this is even possible using GPS.
German providers are investing in UMTS/LTE cells in subways at the
moment. E-Plus is already installing them.
I'm thinking about apps that tell you were you are in a subway and when
you need to change trains to get to your goal.
Is there a way to do this?
We would probably need a new app and a new system for this.
People would need to enter data about where they are manually.
the db would contain like:
this cell is available between station A and B.
but it is also available between station A and C
Maybe this system could be enhanced to work in tunnels on
highways/streets as well and allow navigation in them.
What do you think about this idea?
