The process that tries to bubble up the hierarchy to resolve the parent
defining the site fails when trying to read {{/jcr:system/jcr:versionStorage}}
and fails to resolve the site to be used (and therefore the variation)
resulting in incorrect preview of versioned items.
To reproduce:
login as editor or publisher and try to preview some content using variations
(e.g. {{/demo-project/multimedia}} )
