after review/discussion, we realized this isn't the way to go. MGNLSTK-671 was
fixed by implementing a custom/more precise task, and the NodeBuilder api
should be kept as "safe" as possible. Logging errors feels like hiding problems
under the rug and is only a workaround.
Let's revert this ;)
(then close the issue and remove the fix version)
