We did see the development of "modules" at
http://wiki.magnolia-cms.com/display/DEV/Create+a+New+Module. But we feel we
need simpler things, like just calling a Java function that returns a string
from a Freemaker template. We did try to integrate a simple, "hello world" kind
of Java class but we got all sort of errors. Do you have an example or guide on
how to integrate a simple Java class with Magelia CMS?
