There are currently no big plans (i.e there are plans but no planned timeframe)
for a javascript overhaul of stk. We are aware of a bunch of issues
(configurability, transparency documentation), and will eventually get to work
on that.
Thanks for suggestion - it will come in handy once we get to it.
(of course, if you'd like to contribute enhancements yourself, that'd be very
welcome!)
