Hi Will, We're using ckEditor.
AFAIK there are no legal reasons not to upgrade. Technically, it is not too difficult. The new ckEditor has some new features, fewer bugs, and a nicer design. I especially like the fact that you can expand the text-box to be any size you want. It also has a nicer configuration for custom styles. The problems remain the same: mainly copy & paste problems and that the integration of images (ie picking images from DMS, or uploading new images) is very poor. I was planning to correct this with a "magnolia-image" plugin for ckEditor, but I have not finished this yet, too many other tasks...
