Incorrect return for Xpath queries

When execute the following queries in Tools>JCR Queries, they all return zero
nodes. The Repository selection was set to "website" for each.

/jcr:root/demo-project//element(*,mgnl:content)[MetaData/@mgnl:activated =
"false"]
/jcr:root//*/MetaData[@mgnl:template='stkArticle']
