Page Editor does not activate, js exception is logged

Hi,
Periodically, it seems that the page editor fails to activate, at least in
Google Chrome. The following exception shows up in the Chrome Console:

com.google.gwt.core.client.JavaScriptException: (TypeError): Cannot read
property 'd' of null

I thought it could be related to browser caching, but I've cleared my cache
several times, and I'm still unable to get the page editor to activate.
