Upgrade to PDFBox 1.7.0?

It is possible to upgrade Magnolia 4.5.x to the latest version of PDFBox? I
noticed that Magnolia 4.5.3 includes PDFBox 1.4.0 while the [latest
PDFBox|http://pdfbox.apache.org/] is version 1.7.0. Of course I could try this
myself but maybe you guys know better if this was a conscious decision on your
part to include 1.4.0 instead?
PS: I do not have any concrete issues with PDFBox at the moment but I do now
that in the past (I am talking about Magnolia 3.6.x) we had issues with PDFBox
regarding the indexing of PDFs and had to upgrade PDFBox ourselves in order to
solve it. And if I look at the PDFBox release notes they fix quite a few bugs
in every release.
