Hello,

Yes, I have seen this done.

In my case Magnolia was integrated into an existing Spring web-application.
Some requests are handled completely by the spring application, while some
other requests are first handled by the application (to load data and check the
request) and then rendered by magnolia, using the loaded data.

In this case, the spring application and the magnolia integration were both
part of the initial design. To integrate with an existing application may be a
bit more tricky, and will almost certainly require some changes to the
application.

It should be doable though. Maybe you can post more specific questions, then it
will be easier to understand what you are trying to do, and give you more
useful answers...

Regards from Vienna,

Richard

Betreff: [magnolia-dev] Any experiences integrating Magnolia into an existing
Java based web app?

I am evaluating various Java based CMS' to integrate into our web site. I am
wondering if anybody has been successful in integrating Magnolia content into
another website.

I am getting to the point where I can inject HTML into my web app's servlet and
get the page to render with limited functionality.

However, I am wondering if Magnolia is able to preview the integrated website
and change content on the fly. Basically, trying to see if its possible to get
a seamlessly experience for the user where the user can preview, update and
publish to an external site.
