In the table below http://documentation.magnolia-cms.com/reference/controls.html#radiocheckboxandselect, the options value is documented as "Value saved to the repository and displayed to the user."
The latter is wrong, the options value is not displayed to the user but only stored internally in the JCR. It is the options label that gets displayed to the user.
The options label is documented as "The human-readable label for this option." and should be augmented with ", as displayed to the user".
