We've consolidated and partially redefined the colors for Magnolia 5. While the base colors remain the same, every base color now gains 6 additional shades.
We will need some fine\-tuning of some screens, but we're sure it works and will *not only improve the look of all existing UIs*, but also give us a lot *more flexibility by offering more shades* to e.g. make the lines around a form field stronger or less so, depending on what we want to achieve. That allows us to emphasize or de\-emphasize some elements and lines. It also will make it easier to provide a slightly different appearance with significant higher contrast to users on\-demand. It *also fixes issues we've encountered* (e.g. the piggy-colored light red shades) whenever we introduced new elements such as the alerts and notifications recently.
