According to http://documentation.magnolia-cms.com/reference/configuration.html#Customization it is possible to use $
{contextPath} in the value of the magnolia.initialization.file context parameter in web.xml, but this does not seem to be the case.
PropertiesInitializer.processPropertyFilesString(context, servername, webapp, propertiesFilesString) indeed does not seem to replace ${contextPath}
.
