Description:

When exclude a page for Desktop it is not visiable anymore; not even in edit mode. This has been different in Mgnl 4.5. Page is available in edit mode and get excluded in preview mode.

On page level the Mgnl 5.x behavior is not nice; but not really critical. For editing content for other channels you have to switch the channel exclusion.

For our project we would like to extend the channel exclusion concept to component level, e.g. exclude teasers for a specific channel. This is the point where the current behavoir become critical! As shown on the screen I did exclude the teaser from desktop channel. After selecting ok the teaser really disappears. But there is no chance to re-include the teaser. You have to use the JCR browser to manuelle fix/reset the channel exclusion.

This is not acceptable for a normal content entry process. From my understanding channel exclusion should only work in preview mode or on public instances. Please let me know if I did miss anything and if there are different approaches for component exclusion.
