The browser console logging added in http://jira.magnolia-cms.com/browse/MAGNOLIA-5210 should be removed - or should at least check to see if browser is ie7/ie8 and only log if not.
This is not so relevant as 5 series does not even support ie8 yet - but the fix is easy and it would be best to do now in case we add support for a browser which does not support console object.
