Hi Antti

Thanks for your answer.
- Make sure the node names in your app definition and app launcher
layout match exactly.
They are the same. I checked that several times!
- The app must have a valid descriptor class. Check the fully-qualified
name in the 'class' property.
I use "info.magnolia.ui.api.app.registry.ConfiguredAppDescriptor" as stated in
the tutorial.
- Have you defined any custom availability rules for your app? Perhaps
the user doesn't have permission to the app?
No I don't have any custom permissions. I tried it with a copy of the
/modules/ui-admincentral/apps/configuration/permissions permissions. But no
success.
Did you use the example Products app in the tutorial? What's your
Magnolia version? Post your config XML so we can try to reproduce the
issue.
Yes, I use the Products app from the tutorial and I use magnolia 5.1.1
Community Edition.

The app icon appears if I move the whole /modules/ui-products-app/apps/products
subtree to /modules/ui-centraladmin/apps! So I think that part is OK. I guess
something is missing in /modules/ui-products-app.

Where do I find or how can I create a config xml?

Browsing through the repo I found some subApps beeing folders and others beeing
content nodes (i.e. /modules/about-app/apps/about/subApps). Which is the
prefered variant?

Markus
