Sounds somehow familiar, but I thought this bug was resolved... Which version 
of the module (or better: for which version of Magnolia) are you trying to 
install?

P.S.: IIRC it's not "its samples" that the module was depending on, but "the" 
samples, i.e. the demo websites.
