Hi,
I'd just like to ask the Magnolians whether you have ever considered
using https://www.gitlab.com/gitlab-ce/ instead of the basic Git web
interface that is currently offered at http://git.magnolia-cms.com/gitweb/ ?
Being the open source clone of Github, it's got a lot of nice features
that IMHO would make live easier and more comfortable:
* user administration, groups
* forking repositories
* merge requests
* branch protection (e.g. only selected users / groups can commit to
master)
* commenting on commits
* elaborate diff views
* easily create and share git repositories from the web interface (no
need for manual command line intervention)
This could make it more inviting for others to contribute patches or new
features, or create Magnolia related projects that currently ended up on
Github (because it is so much more convenient than the basic Git web
interface).
And by the way, maybe you could consider using
https://marketplace.atlassian.com/plugins/com.xiplink.jira.git.jira_git_plugin
for showing Git commits in JIRA issues?
Best regards,
Jörg
