IMHO, currently the Magnolia 5 tree view does not clearly indicate the level of nodes in the tree, as there are no vertical lines to guide the eye. E.g. in this tree, on first glance it looks like the node "appName" is located within "availability", but in fact it is on the same level:
Unable to render embedded object: File (magnolia5-tree.png) not found.
If you compare this to a "traditional" tree display with vertical lines indicating levels, there is much less potential for confusion:

Vertical lines would conflict with the current dotted lines between rows. In the "traditional" view, rows are separated with a very light background that does not conflict with the solid vertical lines.
Since Magnolia is all about trees, it is very important to immediately and without doubt determine what level a node is located at, relative to the others...
