Description:

Clicking "Update Data Now" button can cause a long running action to start - the UI then becomes unstable - I am able to switch tabs or launch another app - but then that app does not load.
Eventually this can lead to the "Disco effect" where open apps start cycling 1 per second.
Perhaps the new asynchronous actions concept could be used to keep the UI performing properly and responsively.
