If you switch views, we do maintain the current item selection - at least for single selection, this doesn't yet work for multiple, selected items (see MGNLUI-2921).
However, the *selected item is not
_always_
visible, if you switch views*. You thus often have to scroll to find it. The selected item should, however, always be in sight. If multiple items are selected, the first in the set should be visible.
If we can fine-tune this, the
*
selected item should be positioned at the end of the upper third of a list (not in the middle).
This is *mainly a research issue to begin with*. We know that the corresponding Vaadin functions at one point weren't working or stopped working for us. We should investigate if that's still the case, if an update would solve the issue, if we do something to prevent this from working and if there's a workaround, if this is indeed a bug in our UI framework.
