Tested in 5.2.2, info.magnolia.ui.workbench.column.definition.AbstractColumnDefinition#isDisplayInChooseDialog is never called. The property itself is set correctly, e.g. at /modules/dam-app/apps/assets/subApps/browser/workbench/contentViews/list/columns/status@displayInChooseDialog .
