Marcus Rapsilber updated an issue   Magnolia Cache Module / MGNLCACHE-136 Define sufficient caching configuration for dynamic HTML Change By: Marcus Rapsilber Account: For our customer Sun Country Airlines we (ISO Software Systeme) developed a Magnolia based booking portal for flights and hotels. [ link title www.suncountry.com |http://www.suncountry.com] *Going live & caching issues* When going live (2016-05-29) we had issues with cached HTML pages. The reason was that all the HTML was cached, also with dynamic content. A lot of the pages (FTL) have dependencies to  @SessionScoped objects, in order to e.g. handle an user login and render user specific data. This led to the problem, that a user that hasn't logged in saw something like "Welcome Jim". See screenshot. (We are talking about anonymous users - no Magnolia login) *Problem solving (approach)*  In order to solve this problem, we decided to disable the cache. This is the current state. In addition we already prepared to enhance the default caching config. As you can see (attachment) we added a HTML and REST config to _default/cachePolicy/voters/deny_. Maybe the solution from above is sufficient for us. But since we have a lack of knowledge concerning Magnolia caching there is still an uncertainty if this is the right approach. *EHCache configuration* Beside of the explained problem, we also wonder if the EHCache config (_cache/config/cacheFactory/defaultCacheConfiguration_) is sufficient. We didn't change it, so the config is default. I already was told that there is a mechanism that prevents the cache from having something like "Elements Overflow", when it reaches the maxElementsInMemory. The customer already uploaded ~10000 DAM assets. Maybe you can give us an config advice for this scenario.
