Thomas Ferris Nicolaisen commented on MAGNOLIA-565: --------------------------------------------------- How about assuming that the user does not have tomcat running, and that port 8080 is available for the bundled release? My guess is that the utilitarian gain of this is greater. Perhaps a lot of developers have tomcat installed, but very few are constantly running it if they are on a Windows system. Linux users probably prefer the war file release anyway. > Change default subscriber port from 8081 to 8080 in war-release > --------------------------------------------------------------- > > Key: MAGNOLIA-565 > URL: http://jira.magnolia.info/browse/MAGNOLIA-565 > Project: magnolia wcm > Type: Bug > Components: gui-admin > Versions: 2.1.1 > Environment: Magnolia 2.1 on Apache Tomcat 5 > Reporter: Thomas Ferris Nicolaisen > Assignee: Boris Kraft > Priority: Minor > > Original Estimate: 1 hour > Remaining: 1 hour > > When installing magnolia 2.1 war files downloaded from sourceforge, the > configuration of magnoliaAuthor comes with a subscriber configured for port > 8081. However, Apache Tomcat by default runs its applications on port 8080. -- This message is automatically generated by JIRA. - If you think it was sent incorrectly contact one of the administrators: http://jira.magnolia.info/secure/Administrators.jspa - For more information on JIRA, see: http://www.atlassian.com/software/jira ---------------------------------------------------------------- for list details see http://www.magnolia.info/en/magnolia/developer.html ----------------------------------------------------------------
