[ http://jira.magnolia.info/browse/MAGNOLIA-1174?page=comments#action_13214 ] Sameer Charles commented on MAGNOLIA-1174: ------------------------------------------
we can display different messages, its trivial but every user will have different requirements in any case we will add a simple message saying "invalid user or password". Please note that if authentication fails it always send UNAUTHORIZED header 401 to the client, so you can configure your own error handler for the application or the container. > wrong login gives 401 instead of Magnolia page with error message > ----------------------------------------------------------------- > > Key: MAGNOLIA-1174 > URL: http://jira.magnolia.info/browse/MAGNOLIA-1174 > Project: Magnolia > Issue Type: Bug > Affects Versions: 3.0 RC3 > Reporter: Anne-Marie Scheidegger > Assigned To: Philipp Bracher > Priority: Trivial > Fix For: 3.0 RC4, 3.0.x > > > In 3.0 RC2 and before (?), it just re-displayed the login screen, which is > not perfect (a specific error message would be better), but probably less > confusing to the end user. -- This message is automatically generated by JIRA. - If you think it was sent incorrectly contact one of the administrators: http://jira.magnolia.info/secure/Administrators.jspa - For more information on JIRA, see: http://www.atlassian.com/software/jira ---------------------------------------------------------------- for list details see http://www.magnolia.info/en/magnolia/developer.html ----------------------------------------------------------------
