[ http://jira.magnolia.info/browse/MAGNOLIA-608?page=comments#action_13412 ] Oliver Lietz commented on MAGNOLIA-608: ---------------------------------------
Instead of using the classic Spring Framework/IoC/DI features I suggest to evaluate Spring OSGi [http://www.springframework.org/osgi] or OSGi [http://www.osgi.org/] in general. Magnolia is more a framework than an application. Here are some points why not Spring for frameworks: http://tapestry.apache.org/tapestry5/tapestry-ioc/index.html. The modularization capabilities of OSGi would be quite useful for Magnolia's modules. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/OSGi > Spring integration? > ------------------- > > Key: MAGNOLIA-608 > URL: http://jira.magnolia.info/browse/MAGNOLIA-608 > Project: Magnolia > Issue Type: Sub-task > Reporter: Philipp Bracher > Assigned To: Philipp Bracher > Fix For: 3.5 > > > From time to time the community motivated us to use Spring framework as the > base of magnolia. -- This message is automatically generated by JIRA. - If you think it was sent incorrectly contact one of the administrators: http://jira.magnolia.info/secure/Administrators.jspa - For more information on JIRA, see: http://www.atlassian.com/software/jira ---------------------------------------------------------------- for list details see http://www.magnolia.info/en/magnolia/developer.html ----------------------------------------------------------------
