For the story,
When you import a project like magnolia in eclipse thanks to the
command mvn eclipse:eclipse -Dwtpversion=1.0, there is inside
eclispe a parameter called "project facet" with a sub parameter
called Java and this parameter is by default set to 5.0.
The relation with maven is that since I'm using the version 2.0.5,
maven can't build the .project directories properly and so we can't
import it in eclipse.
Are you saying that it worked with maven 2.0.4 ?

Are you sure that if you checkout magnolia 2.0.5 and you do a
fresh install without a previous .m2 repository, you will still
be able to develop magnolia under eclipse WTP 3.2?
I refer to the problem that I post in the user list with the
title "Magnolia on eclipse".
I recently tried to do a fresh install and I haven't been able to
develop under eclispe WTP because of a project facet issue.
Try it and if you can, no objection.

that ensure more consistent dependency resolution, I'd like to
