David : even in write mode? With java5 it's read only.
If you'd care to build and install the module, you could check the
util page i just made (under the tools menu) to see what formats are
supported in input and output, if you have java6 installed at the
moment - would be nice if you could report. thanks ! :)
Also, if anyone knows of other imageio plugins, I'd like to hear
about it. Other than the gif one, the only one I found is for raw
