Is there any documentation (wiki, javadoc, etc, etc) that describes the difference between admin and system users in Magnolia?
Not yet.
The system users are users which are expected to exist by the system. This are namely superuser and anonymous. This also known as the realm system.
The other users are 'normal' magnolia users, but the configuration allows having other user managers as the ldap user manager.
The intention is that we use the user manager where ever possible instead of creating custom jaas modules.
This permits nice implementations like the public user module
Also, if I have user bootstrap files from previous versions how do I convert them to this new format?
