Three things to note here:
* in general we should support multiple selections for trees, lists and grids
(I named all those components "structural components". Thus I added this
requirement on the
http://wiki.magnolia.info/display/DEV/Genuine+Feature+-+Structural+Components
page in the wiki.
* second, also in general, we want shortcut support which is covered by Feature
"Keyboard support" (with high priority). Here is the link to that feature:

* last but not least, technically ExtJS support multiple selections with
keyboard support (selectively with control key and ranges with shift key). See
