Linebreaks get lost at "Activation" in fields of controltype "edit" when

We just got to see a very strange system behaviour:
If we activate a page from Author (Windows) to our Publishing system (Linux) -
Linebreaks in "Edit" Fields (textarea) get lost. The Linebreaks do only get
lost, if the versioning is done before activation - in the admininterface
CommandChain. Please look at screenshot_1: "doesnt_work".
We are using MySQL for Persistence.
Strange I: if we activate the page via JCR Browser the Linebreaks survive the
Activation-Process. Everything is OK.
Strange II: We ain't got a problem if we just put the versioning after the
"activation". Please look at screenshot_2: "works"
We had to insert the "activate" node in the "website - activation" CommanChain,
because we wanted to keep the possibility to use the WF Module.
I hope this way of configuration doesn't cause the error.
