The problem with the current OpenSRS.pm module is that it is too user-oriented and it makes it too cumbersome to perform any automated operation. It is my impression that it was written to support the web interface in the first place and not as an API, and I guess that can be extended onto the lower API (the http communication protocol) as well. One good example is the authentication mechanism with cookies and per-domain reauthentication for each domain owned by the same user. I would love to be able to do the same maintenance tasks that I can do from the reseller's web interface without needing to deal with the end-user information. It is an annoying that if your first domain is a transfer you have to wait for it to complete in order to be able to login as its user and add some more, and I only found that out when we went live (the test environment don't do transfers). -- Regards, L.C.
