Give your RSP a break. Transfers are troublesome. I would much rather put up a
new domain-name than transfer one, and I only do it for subscribers. When you
transfer a domain you have several entities involved; The RSP, OpenSRS,
InterNIC, and the Domain Owner (4 parties). Ok but you are adding another level
of complexity, as now we have added a fifth party. This requires that all 5 of
the parties do the required task expediently, it's not going to happen. Many
times the domain owner does not respond as required and the whole effort is
lost, and it must be done again!
It can really be a pain. if your guy is doing it for $15.00CDN, and all he gets
is the registration fees. You probably have a good deal. it can take several
days to do a transfer if everything happens expediently.
This may not help, but it's my $.02US. Maybe, you should explain the issues
involved with your RSP.
