What they have patented, which potentially won't hold up in court, is the
use of DNS as an indirect mapping utility for IPsec associations. It really
is just abstracting the DNS from name -> address to use as providing
routing information.
Given that we've been doing just that for 5 years in production (and I can
point to no less than 2 dozen papers describing this technique), I am
positive that this patent won't be enforceable.
ANYWAY, it really doesn't affect DNS or OpenSRS in any way. It looks like
DNS, it uses domains, it grunts like DNS, it is DNS. No matter for us.
