Is the retriction "you _must_ add one year" or is it "you must add _exactly_
one year and you may not add more"? If it's the former, then it would seem
a restriction has been built into the OpenSRS transfer system that needn't
be there.

If some subsequent version of the client includes this ability, I hope it
could be made a 'native' process, rather than making it a transfer plus a
renewal for n-1 years. For single domain transfers, it wouldn't make much
difference. However, for a bulk transfer, I would worry about the speed of
this process. We've already had some problems with bulk transfers and
browsers timing out, even though we're limiting the number of domains to
just 100 per transfer.
