Hi,
After 5 months of studying the reg_system.cgi script and trying so many
different things to crack this...I am throwing in the towel and hoping one
of you nice people can answer my question.
We have a billing system that runs on a seperate server. I "replaced" the
thankyou.html page with the online signup form for our customer and it works
like a champ. Charges directly to authorize net, enteres into our billing
system and sets up its next billing based on its next renewal. Its actually
wonderful. Although this is a picky thing, I think we look less than
professional because I can't get the form to pre fill out based on what the
custmer put in the order.html or even coming off the verify.html page.
The only thing that I can get to pre complete on the form is the domain
field. I did this by adding $HTML {domain} = $in{domain} directly above the
line that says /path_templates/thankyou.html %HTML. So it sorta goes with
the other fields that are their.
I also added {{domain}} to the payment form (formerly thankyou.html) and
when they hit the order now button, my payment screen pops up with the
domain is there...but I tried to do this with the organzation name no go,
tried it with name fields, nope not that either.
Now when I added the owner_org_name I also did the
$HTLM (owner_org_name) = $in{owner_org_name} Well that internal errored and
said it hit a problem and couln't compile. So I went and added the
owner_org_name to a couple of the %HTLM array's above and it didn't fix it
and kept erroring it out.
Although I may sound like I know what I'm taking about, I really don't...its
more like I've been staring at this sooo long that well I have it committed
to memory. I'm basically matching things up and trying to emulate what's
there. Not that I know what i"m doing.
With all of that said, I did notice that someone did ask a question like
this, but the guy that answered used the {{domain}} example and my thought
is that its in there so many times that well its hard to mess that one up.
The working model is at
www.dirtcheapdomainnames.com/cgi-bin/register/cgi/reg_sys.cgi
There you can see that the domain pre-fills in but nothing else.
Any help you can lend would be appreciated.
Sincerely,
Beth
