This has been asked for before and OpenSRS semi-officially (via a reply to
the lists) said it was planned and would be available soon. This was in
January 2000, over one year ago. So don't count on a change anytime
soon. Many RSP's recognized the problem and ended up developing their own
internal systems to workaround the problem. Basically set the system to
process immediately and pend orders locally until you are ready to process
them. This system works well for us, especially when it came time
for renewals since renewals currently ignore the process immediately flag.
It appears they are now shifting the developers over to adding new
services like SSL certs and hosted e-mail. In my opinion, they should
have different development teams for these new services. They are
spreading themselves to thin. There are a lot of broken things in the
existing processes that need to be fixed. There should be a dedicated
team working on fixing all of the issues that RSP's have been complaining
about for the past year.
