Rick Wesson has written an RFC (or is it a white paper?) describing an
XML based whois, there is a mailing list set up ietf-xml-whois which
gets zero traffic and is run from [EMAIL PROTECTED], last time I
talked to Rick about it he said it was going to be discussed more
on one of th RIPE mailing lists. I'll try to dig it out.
