Subject: PPMs AVAILABLE -- Re: Win32 Perl Modules -

All of these modules are now available as PPMs from my server.
Launch PPM and issue the following commands:

PPM>install Crypt-HCE_SHA
PPM>install Crypt-CBC
PPM>install Digest-SHA1
PPM>install Data-Dumper
PPM>install Date-Pcalc
PPM>exit

These were built with ActiveState ActivePerl V5.6.1 Build 626, but
should work OK with any of the 600 series builds.  If you're
running 613 or earlier, I recommend you upgrade to a newer version
of ActiveState ActivePerl.  Build 628 is the currently-shipping
version.

I also noticed that ActiveState now has the Crypt::Blowfish
module available as a PPD, which should be substantially faster
than Crypt::Blowfish_PP (which is what's available for download

Let me know if you encounter any difficulties with these.

Eric Longman

Subject: Win32 Perl Modules

Hi,

I have emailed Paul Sisson the developer and we have had several discussions about the perl modules which are currently not available for the Win32 Perl (ActiveState) platform.

Although he has sent me the following links, none of them are compiled for the Win32 environment:

Is there anyone which has the name and location of a ppm repository with the following perl modules:

Crypt::HCE_SHA - not there
Crypt::CBC - not there
Digest::SHA1 - not there
Data::Dumper - not there
Date::Pcalc - not there

Without these the OpenSRS system will not work under the Win32 environment and CPAN does not have them on their repository that I can find them.

With regards,
Benjamin Saenz
