AHA! Sorry to cross-post, but this one deserves wide distribution: ------------------------------------------ COMMANDMENT: Thou shalt not mix and match .US and other TLDs when doing lookups! ------------------------------------------
If you configure the client to look up .com as a related TLD for .us, you'll get this error every time. Curiously, you *can* list .us as a related tld to .com, and it will work. Looks like it's OK to mix .biz, .info, .com, .net, and .org in any combination, but if .us is the queried name, it must stand alone (presumably because of the Nexus requirements). So, for related TLDs: .com = .us is OK but .us = .com will make your code fail Regards, Eric Longman Atl-Connect Internet Services +-------------------------------------------------------+ | Atl-Connect Internet Services http://www.atlcon.net | | 3600 Dallas Hwy Ste 230-288 770 590-0888 | | Marietta, GA 30064-1685 [EMAIL PROTECTED] | +-------------------------------------------------------+ ----- Original Message ----- From: "WebWiz" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sent: Wednesday, April 24, 2002 12:54 AM Subject: [705] [No RAs to service your domain] (Posted a similar message on dev-list some time ago with no response...maybe someone is awake over here) We're working with the new OpenSRS-SF code (1.59) against horizon and get the following error whenever we try to do a lookup (for *ANY* TLD...com, .net, .org, .biz, .us...it doesn't seem to matter) Unexpected response received from the Registry: [705] [No RAs to service your domain] Is there something turned off in horizon that should be on? Can anybody else confirm that they're having this problem with horizon, too? Or is it just me? (And am I the *only* one up in the middle of the night working on code changes for .us??) :) Regards, Eric Longman Atl-Connect Internet Services +-------------------------------------------------------+ | Atl-Connect Internet Services http://www.atlcon.net | | 3600 Dallas Hwy Ste 230-288 770 590-0888 | | Marietta, GA 30064-1685 [EMAIL PROTECTED] | +-------------------------------------------------------+
